The World Cup of Diplomacy is a team tournament, played using a League system. The event lasts two years, with two distinct rounds: Qualifying and the Finals.
As you'd expect the teams are based around countries. You play for the country you represent.
Throughout Qualifying players can play in as many rounds as they want. At the end of Qualifying, the top seven countries will progress to the Finals.
In the Finals, each country is expected to play in each round but the same players may not need to play each round. For the Finals, each country will select or elect a team Captain it is the Captain's responsibility to nominate players for any games.
There is no limit to the number of entrants that can represent each county involved, although it is expected that there should be a minimum of four players each round. Each team will therefore play in each game in each round.
At the end of the Finals, one team will be crowned the winners of the Kent Cup, and the World Champions.
This is just an introductory post; for more details on the tournament, see the forum for rules and registration.
